STOW – A force to be reckoned with... October 10th 2007 Stow UK Ltd offer a full range of storage equipment for warehouses, production areas and storage.
The Stow Pal Rack pallet racking system consists of a full range of basic components and accessories to fulfil all requirements, and is designed for the optimised storage of goods of all sizes and weights. All components have been thoroughly tested in specialized laboratories to calculate the safe load capacity of each component and ensure that they meet the stringent requirements of the FEM code for pallet racking.
Drive in racks increase the storage space utilization compared to conventional pallet racking systems. This is achieved by eliminating picking aisles. The system provides safe block stacking of goods, which are too fragile or unstable to be stacked one on top of the other.
The fully adjustable Midi Rack long span racking system is designed for storage of light to medium heavy loads. It lends itself to use in almost any situation: shelving racking, long span racking, high rise installations and multitier constructions with a frame load of up to 4000 kg.
The Stowshelf shelving system can be applied in any environment, from offices to industrial warehousing. It is designed for light to medium heavy loads of up to 230 kg/shelf by virtue of its built-in box beam design. Multitier installations are also available as the frame can take loads up to 4000 kg.
The focus on fully robotic manufacturing and
painting processes plus adherence to the stringent regulatory requirements ensure high quality equipment at competitive market prices. The continuing commitment of Stow International, Stow UK’s parent company, to investment in manufacturing technology, technical design support and delivery accuracy explains their top market position in Europe.
Parent Company history:
Tracing its roots back to 1977 with the creation of Stockage Wevelgem, the company opened it’s first manufacturing plant in Wevelgem in Belgium. In 1987 the company changed its name to Stow International with a turnover of 5 million euros and employing 67 staff. Between 1987 and 1996 the company developed a network of distributors in Europe (France, Germany and the UK) and the Middle East (Saudi Arabia and UAE) and latterly converted many of these distributors to affiliate companies and subsidiaries. In 1996 a production plant was established in Shanghai to service Eastern and Australasian markets – with continued growth in Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Scandinavia, Russia and Eastern Europe.
A second state of the art production plant was opened in 1997 alongside the opening of an automated distribution centre. In 2001 the KRI Group (Kardex Remstar International) acquired a 60% share of the business and in 2003 Stow International became a 100% member of the KRI Group.
Today, the Stow group worldwide turns over EUR 160M /GBP 110M. The group is currently staffed by over 550 people offering true worldwide representation – and has steadily been growing at an average rate of 20% per annum since 1997.
