New Blitz 48V: improved
October 10th 2007 To coincide with MOVINT 2007 (held from May 9 to 12, Bologna) CESAB organised the official launch of the restyling of the Biltz 48V range: a range which has been market-leader for more than ten years, and which now even further improves its level of performance and reliability thanks to a complete set of innovative new features. Higher speed, more acceleration, greater gradeabilty, and of course the truck is now also even safer, more ergonomic and more productive. The Blitz 48V’s general performances have been upgraded through the use of new components, their operation optimised by means of new dedicated software, developed throughout by CESAB itself.
More information and better control with the new dashboard: OSC - Operator Smart Control The new multifunctional dashboard and the graphic OLED (Organic Light Emission Display) allow constant monitoring of the truck’s status, and enable the customisation of performance parameters if required. For easier reading, the display provides clear, immediate indication only of the information really needed at the specific moment in time. For example, the speed is only shown if the truck is in motion.
Thanks to the automatic luminosity sensor, the display is clearly visible in all ambient light conditions .
More active and passive safety Perfectly in line with the CESAB construction tradition, which always gives top priority to the operator’s safety, one of the focal points of the Blitz 48V range’s restyling has been improvement of the safety systems.
Speed reduction on bends
The truck’s speed is automatically gradually reduced in proportion to the steering angle, leaving the operator freer to concentrate on load handling during combined steering+lifting procedures. Both safety and productivity reap the benefits.
New ‘Active STOP’ Braking System
The new braking system automatically engages as soon as the truck stops. Activation is intentionally delayed (about 500 milliseconds) to prevent sudden halts which might cause instability of the transported load. This system is particularly useful and safe both when handling loads at great heights and when operating on gradients or slopes.
APB Automatic Parking Brake
The new Blitz 48V does not have a manual parking brake. Instead of the traditional lever, there is a convenient, easily-operated switch, saving effort for the driver.
Emergency button
When pressed, this button stops the truck instantly, cutting out all electrical functions: total safety is assured even in emergencies. Mast function cutout If the operator gets off the truck, all mast functions are disabled. This function is only available on models equipped with fingertips or mini-joystick controls.
Ply glass
The front body of the new Blitz 48V is available as standard with ply glass having a sandwich structure, consisting of two panes of glass 3 mm thick with a perfectly transparent adhesive film between them. If the glass breaks, the adhesive film retains the pieces and protects the operator.
More comfort with the new CESAB seat
The new CESAB seat, customised with the CESAB logo on the back and side panels, is developed to meet the operator’s specific needs, with improved comfort and side support, thanks to custom-design and the careful selection of materials.
The larger shoulders provide the operator with more support when driving, while the back can be adjusted for greater comfort. There are three versions available: COMFORT the Standard version – PRIVILEGE with fabric upholstery – ELITE heated with fabric upholstery.
The extra-tall back version is also available to ensure perfect comfort for even the tallest users.
