The SPOC - single point of control - is a graphical plant monitoring and control tool that ensures maximum efficiency and availability for any Swisslog logistics solution. Swisslog's automation solution is a fully integrated warehouse control system consisting of common operating procedures for subsystems and components, the Swisslog interface standard and standard techniques and components. One of the customers we have been working with for many years and who are benefiting from the standard Swisslog control system, is Walkers Snack Foods Ltd at their Leicester site. Due to exponential growth over the years, Walkers required additional storage space at their site. Working together with the customer we have built 3 warehouses on the site, including clad-rack highbay constructions. We are currently building another warehouse at the site and have linked the operations together with monorails & conveyors. All automation equipment is operated by Swisslog’s WCS. Another UK customer in the FMCG sector has centralised their distribution, which has resulted in the build of two highbay warehouse extensions to their current operation. In addition we have modernized several cranes at another site and thereby increased efficiency & throughput. Swisslog is currently rolling out their standard WMS across the globe for several of our customers.
