Pall-Ex operates a rigorous six point freight scanning process ensuring customer POD (Proof of Delivery) data: Scan freight out at depot Scan freight in at hub Scan new load out of hub Scan in back at the depot Scanned out to customer Signed Electronic Proof of
Delivery from customer EPOD is then available on-line.
Unloading under canopies
Operating 24 hours a day 5 days a week, the Pall-Ex operation accelerates into another gear from 8pm as lorries from all over the UK and Europe arrive with inbound freight.
The Pall-Ex Operation
Each night over 8,500 pallets are loaded / unloaded under specially designed, free span, weather proof canopies running the full length of each hub side and totalling over 67,000 sq ft in area.The freight is then transhipped through the Pall-Ex hub.
Extensive parking and facilities
The Pall-Ex hub includes an extensive lorry park where lorries await bay allocation slots. Drivers are well catered for with on-site truck refuelling, a 24 hour canteen and shower facilities.
Rapid Freight Transhipment
Once the freight is checked, loaded and scanned, trucks return back to their depots throughout the UK and Europe.
Warehousing & Distribution Providing de-containerisation, dedicated warehouse storage, pick and pack and European distribution, our specialist warehouse management team will provide a tailored solution matching your exacting requirements including narrow isle racking,VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) fork lift trucks, inventory management and round the clock customer support.
Pall-Ex currently operates a dedicated 30,000 sq ft warehouse for an international welding equipment manufacturer.
Pall-Ex Europe Express
Pall-Ex, the No.1 Palletised Freight Distribution Network, has launched two new additions to its service portfolio; Pall-Ex Europe and Pall-Ex Europe Express.
Both services enable Pall-Ex depots and customers to send full and multiple palletised consignments anywhere throughout Europe from Scandinavia to Benelux, the Baltic States and even Turkey.
Pall-Ex Europe provides rapid freight distribution and departs five nights per week whilst Pall-Ex Europe runs twice a week and offers groupage rates for non-urgent freight.
Pallets are picked up from the Pall-Ex hub early evening and reach the European hub at Niederaula 100kms northeast of Frankfurt the same night ready for onward distribution to the final destination in Europe.

Track and Trace Technology with “Pall-IT.”
