The Grab-O-Matic Choice
October 01st 2005

Established for more than 20 St. Clare Engineering.s Grab-O-Matic fork attachments range is the culmination of almost half a decade.s manufacturing expertise. Exporting over 30% of production globally, St. Clare’s commitment to quality, durable products which provide a safer working environment is reflected by a client list that includes the Ministry of Defence, BP, Dunlop, Du Pont, GlaxoSmithKline and BNFL (British Nuclear Fuels Ltd).

Manufactured in the UK by precision engineers, all items are robustly constructed and can be fitted to most trucks in seconds – with no need for electric or hydraulic connections. Issued with test certificates confirming safe working loads, the extensive Grab-O-Matic family includes:

  • The DLR range: Handles 1, 2, 3 or even 4 drums at a time, with each drum weighing up to 750kg. The attachment enables the drums to be picked up, moved and placed – resulting in faster loading/unloading for the truck operator.

The DLR drum handlers can also be manufactured for use in Zone 1 and 2 areas to meet current ATEX regulations for spark-proof environments.

  • The 2-DLR (two drum handler): Able to load or unload a standard container in 20-30 minutes. For lifting and moving drums weighing up to 1000 kg there are also heavy duty units (twin heads) available within the range.

  • The SC10 range: Allows drums to be manually rotated to dispense the contents while maintaining full control during rotation.

  • The RT-1 Reel Rotator: Normally fitted to a pedestrian stacker, this is used to lift and turn reels of varying diameters, lengths and weights (up to 250kg) from the centre core and mechanically rotate them from vertical to horizontal or vice versa.

Backed by 100% inspection, Grab-OMatic units are virtually maintenance free, requiring only occasional oiling. St.

Clare says this makes it first choice for drum handling, while its more recent product lines now cover self dumping hoppers, pallet and stacker trucks, work platforms, sweepers, scissors grabs, pedestrian drum trolleys and reel turning units.

St. Clare carries a comprehensive range of spares and replacement parts off the shelf, and offers a service/repair and testing facility.

CE marked and manufactured to ISO 9001:2000 St. Clare says product quality, durability and versatility makes Grab-O-Matic the automatic choice in attachments.
