Increasing storage – reducing costs November 15th 2010
The Aisle-Master range of very narrow aisle articulated forklifts enables you to increase storage capacity, cut costs, speed up the handling process and improve productivity.
The majority of users now benefiting from the Aisle-Master system have replaced a combination of reach and counterbalance forklifts, and have been able to dramatically cut working aisle-widths for a vast increase in pallet density – in some cases doubling the amount of storage space available. Other Aisle-Master customers appreciate the simplicity of the trucks compared with the added requirements and associated costs of traditional VNA trucks such as the need to install floor sensors and guidance systems and to have super flat floors.
Versatility
Versatile indoor and outdoor capability reduces fleet numbers and therefore initial purchase costs as well as additional expenditure on maintenance. Time consuming double handling of loads is avoided, so offloading, storing and picking procedures are much quicker. The Aisle- Master’s ability to work in very narrow aisles maximises warehouse capacity, and there is no need to move product to outside storage areas or to incur extra charges for renting additional storage space.
Wide Range and options
Aisle-Master’s wide range can be customised to individual requirements and encompasses AC electric and LPG powered models with lift capacities of up to 2.5t and lifts heights to 12.5m. As the trucks are designed to work both inside and out they incorporate features such as cushioned tyres for operation on unpaved yards. Robustly built and excellently engineered, they are proven to cope with intense, round the clock shifts. Options such as a clear view mast, non marking tyres, telescopic forks, enclosed cabs and choice of chassis colour at the point of manufacture are available. The electric powered units are supplied with 775Ah batteries as standard, with an optional 930 Ah battery for high lift applications.
AC technology as standard
Aisle-Master is the only articulated truck manufacturer to offer AC technology as standard in its electric powered models, which offers a host of benefits. Brushless motors reduce the wear and tear on components for longer life operation. Fewer moving parts equates to no service requirements, this in turn reduces downtime. It also provides improved acceleration and more precise control – this is of great benefit when operating at high lift height in narrow aisles. A further advantage is reduced energy consumption for longer operation per charge and a more powerful performance.
Free warehouse layout service
A free of charge warehouse planning service is available from Aisle-Master: customers can either supply a layout of their premises, or Aisle-Master personnel will visit to carry out a site survey. On the basis of this, layout diagrams and storage density calculations can be supplied to illustrate optimum use of space. More articles from Aisle-Master Ltd: |
