A genuinely customer focused company providing innovative engineering solutions and the reassurance of German manufacturing. That may sound too good to be true but LAWECO has been offering just that for almost 30 years.

History

The company started manufacturing lift tables in 1979 in Espelkamp in Germany with a staff of 20. Since then, the company has grown to become a leader in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of heavy duty scissor lift tables and loading bay equipment. In 2005 LAWECO UK was established by a team with 30 years experience to offer the same level of innovation, design flair, manufacturing excellence and client service as its European cousin.

Products

Specialising in precision engineered solutions to both straightforward and complex load handling requirements, the company is best known for its scissor lift loading platforms and comprehensive package of loading bay equipment. This includes internal and externally installed lifts, independent loading ‘pods’ and surface-mounted lifts – both of which obviate the need for extensive civil works - and the full spectrum of associated equipment; doors, shelters, ramps, safety cages, gates and barriers, alarms, traffic management systems and lighting. Lifting applications in the manufacturing and construction sectors are also specialisms.

Service

LAWECO UK base good client relationships upon developing a thorough understanding of their customers’ activities and specific needs and attribute regular repeat business to meeting and exceeding these through imaginative design, timely delivery and professional installation underpinned by an emphasis on safety. Responding promptly and enthusiastically to unusual or particularly demanding technical challenges is a strength; new contracts are won frequently on the basis of the company’s readiness and ability to provide bespoke solutions.

Future

The distribution sector rarely stands still and companies installing loading bay equipment need to meet the challenge of operational developments such as multi-client warehousing, changing shift patterns, faster turnaround times and the increasing use, for example, of ‘high cube’ double decked trailers. In addition they are expected to offer greater levels of functionality and reliability and to meet the increasingly rigorous demands of health and safety legislation.
