October 14th 2008 St. Clare Engineering’s Grab- O-Matic fork attachments range is the culmination of almost half a decade’s manufacturing expertise. Manufactured entirely in the UK by precision engineers, all items are robustly constructed and can be attached to most trucks in seconds – without the need for electric or hydraulic connections. All units are issued with test certificates confirming safe working loads, the extensive Grab-O-Matic family includes:
• The DLR range: The attachments when fitted with the standard HD-1 gripping head will handle all steel open top and tight head drums, plastic ‘L’ ring drums and most fibre drums, damaged drums and drums of various diameters and sizes can also be safely and efficiently grabbed by the DLR range – resulting in faster loading/unloading for the truck operator who has no need to leave the cab to lift and move the drums. The DLR drum handlers can also be manufactured for use in Zone 1 and 2 areas to meet current ATEX regulations for spark-proof environments.
• The 2-DLR (two drum handler): Able to load or unload a standard container in 20-30 minutes. For lifting and moving drums weighing up to 1000 kg there are also heavy duty units (twin heads) available within the range.
• The SC10 range: Allows drums, including steel and plastic, to be manually rotated to dispense the contents while maintaining full control during rotation.
