Conveying intelligence October 14th 2008 Since its inception, conveyor and handling equipment specialist AMF Automation has worked hand in hand with German manufacturer, Bleichert, to establish an impressive customer base across the fiercely competitive automotive sector.
Bleichert has over 50 years systems building experience in the automotive sector, working closely with AMF (as its sole UK supplier) to install turnkey systems incorporating conveyors, overhead gantries and AGV’s for the likes of Honda, BMW, GM, Jaguar, Landrover and Ford.
From these foundations, AMF has subsequently expanded its operations and expertise to provide systems solutions across the materials handling spectrum and broader industrial sector.
Operating a cradle to grave philosophy, the company allocates a project manager to liase closely with the client and interpret specific requirements to deliver the best working solution on each and every job.
On larger projects, AMF Automation recognises the benefits of simultaneous engineering, where both parties collaborate to deliver the most cost-effective way of implementing new systems. Testing and prototype work, in the form of jigs and one off fixture building, form an additional element to the package.
The project manager then assumes total responsibility for supervising the design, manufacture and final installation of the system. No job is ever completed without total satisfaction.
All projects are supplied with a full set of documentation including mechanical manuals, GA’s and detailed drawings, CE certification, recommended parts lists, method statements and risk assessments.
Upon completion of installation all systems are fully commissioned and dry run with parts. Personnel training is then performed to ensure safe, efficient operation.
Working alongside several leading control companies, AMF is subsequently able to offer a complete package for all control needs – electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic – employing state-of-the-art technology. Should a customer solely wish to acquire the mechanical equipment, AMF will also work directly with a company`s controls department, ensuring full integration into a working system.
All equipment supplied and installed carries a full 12 month guarantee, with an option to extend cover. AMF engineers also have the re-tooling expertise to rework existing equipment when called for – without interrupting normal production time – ensuring value driven solutions where new equipment is not viable.
Maintenance contracts and 24 hour engineering support options are also available where desired. More articles from AMF Automation Ltd: |
